Chat with Freshdesk help articles
Reuse your published Freshdesk knowledge base for a chatbot that answers common support questions.
Method: Website source. The source import does not create or update Freshdesk tickets. Include a support link for issues that need investigation.
Add Freshdesk help articles to Chatbit
Choose publicly accessible solution articles and add their URLs to Chatbit. Inspect the imported text. For a restricted article approved for your bot's audience, add a reviewed text copy instead.
Open your chatbot's data sources to add the prepared content. Follow the source setup guide if this is your first bot.
Prepare useful source material
Keep the problem, cause and resolution together. A short title such as "Error 42" needs the product name and the conditions in which the error occurs.
Try these questions
Why did my upload fail? Which browser settings should I check first?
Compare each answer with the original content. Ask a follow-up, and try one question the source does not cover to check that the bot avoids guessing.
Keep the content current
When the original changes, update or replace the corresponding Chatbit source and test the affected answers again. Remove superseded copies so the bot is not working from conflicting versions.

Put the answers on your website
Once the answers are ready, adjust your welcome message and suggested questions. Find your website installation guide to publish the bot, or improve its responses before sharing.
Frequently asked questions
Can I combine this with other sources?
Yes. Add relevant website pages, files, text and Q&A to the same chatbot. Keep their facts consistent and check your plan's source limits.
Should I import everything at once?
Start with a small set that answers your most common questions. Check the extracted text and answers, then add more material where it fills a real gap.
