Use a reviewed set of SharePoint documents to explain your services to website visitors.
Method: Export and import. SharePoint permissions do not travel with a downloaded file. This workflow is not a live connection to sites, lists or Microsoft 365 search.
Add SharePoint documents to Chatbit
Download approved PDF or Word files from the document library, subject to your organization's permissions. Upload those copies to Chatbit after checking their content.
Open your chatbot's data sources to add the prepared content. Follow the source setup guide if this is your first bot.
Prepare useful source material
Include the policy owner, version and effective date in the document text where useful. Avoid uploading entire libraries that mix customer guidance with internal operations.
Try these questions
Which version of the service policy applies? What are the steps for submitting a request?
Compare each answer with the original content. Ask a follow-up, and try one question the source does not cover to check that the bot avoids guessing.
Keep the content current
When the original changes, update or replace the corresponding Chatbit source and test the affected answers again. Remove superseded copies so the bot is not working from conflicting versions.

Once the answers are ready, adjust your welcome message and suggested questions. Find your website installation guide to publish the bot, or improve its responses before sharing.

Yes. Add relevant website pages, files, text and Q&A to the same chatbot. Keep their facts consistent and check your plan's source limits.
Should I import everything at once?
Start with a small set that answers your most common questions. Check the extracted text and answers, then add more material where it fills a real gap.
