Chat with OneDrive files
Bring approved Word documents and PDFs from OneDrive into your website chatbot.
Method: Export and import. This import does not retain OneDrive access rules or synchronize document edits. Manage the chatbot's sources separately.
Add OneDrive files to Chatbit
Select the files in OneDrive and download them. Extract a ZIP download if needed, then upload the supported documents in Chatbit's data sources.
Open your chatbot's data sources to add the prepared content. Follow the source setup guide if this is your first bot.
Prepare useful source material
Review shared files before uploading. Remove internal notes and confirm that the text reflects the edition your customers use.
Try these questions
What does the starter package include? How do I prepare my information for onboarding?
Compare each answer with the original content. Ask a follow-up, and try one question the source does not cover to check that the bot avoids guessing.
Keep the content current
When the original changes, update or replace the corresponding Chatbit source and test the affected answers again. Remove superseded copies so the bot is not working from conflicting versions.

Put the answers on your website
Once the answers are ready, adjust your welcome message and suggested questions. Find your website installation guide to publish the bot, or improve its responses before sharing.
Frequently asked questions
Can I combine this with other sources?
Yes. Add relevant website pages, files, text and Q&A to the same chatbot. Keep their facts consistent and check your plan's source limits.
Should I import everything at once?
Start with a small set that answers your most common questions. Check the extracted text and answers, then add more material where it fills a real gap.
