Chat with Confluence content
Turn approved Confluence documentation into answers about your product or process.
Method: Export and import. This is a manual source workflow. Confluence space permissions and later page edits are not synchronized with the chatbot.
Add Confluence content to Chatbit
Export selected pages to a supported document format where your Confluence permissions allow it, or copy approved page text into Chatbit. Review each source before saving.
Open your chatbot's data sources to add the prepared content. Follow the source setup guide if this is your first bot.
Prepare useful source material
Include the page title and product version. Expand essential details from macros or linked child pages into plain text if they are missing from the export.
Try these questions
Which setup steps apply to the cloud version? What should I check when an import fails?
Compare each answer with the original content. Ask a follow-up, and try one question the source does not cover to check that the bot avoids guessing.
Keep the content current
When the original changes, update or replace the corresponding Chatbit source and test the affected answers again. Remove superseded copies so the bot is not working from conflicting versions.

Put the answers on your website
Once the answers are ready, adjust your welcome message and suggested questions. Find your website installation guide to publish the bot, or improve its responses before sharing.
Frequently asked questions
Can I combine this with other sources?
Yes. Add relevant website pages, files, text and Q&A to the same chatbot. Keep their facts consistent and check your plan's source limits.
Should I import everything at once?
Start with a small set that answers your most common questions. Check the extracted text and answers, then add more material where it fills a real gap.
